Obituary of Janice Irene Bruzzichesi

Janice Irene Smith was born to Marion & Grace (Gossett) Smith on July 15, 1941. She grew up with her brother Larry in the Kutch area. She, along with her brother and many close cousins attended the country school at Kutch. She later attended and graduated from Limon Public Schools. Jan married Marvin "Joe" Schoonover on June 22, 1958. To this marriage 2 children were born, Deanna and Bobby Joe. They divorced in 1971. On January 30, 1975 Jan married William Bruzzichesi and subsequently Anna Maria and Matthew were born. Jan's greates love and passion was her family. She often lived life thru them. Especially her beloved grandchildren - Steven, David, Michael, Cassy, Jaeden, Nicholas, Carissa Lynn, Lane Travis, Kade and Koda. Also her great-grandchildren - Samona, Elycia, Alexis, Trey, Donovan, Ciara, Braeden, Taleya, Damari and Jakobe. Her hobbies included - bowling, playing cards, playing piano (self-taught) and doing stained glass work. Jan worked as a nurse and in the health care profession for over 30 years. She retired from working the front desk of the Specialty Clinic at Lincoln Community Hospital. She was the ultimate caregiver; be it family, friend or patient. It was difficult for her to give up her role as caregiver and become care receiver. She will be greatly missed by all.
