Stan and Ila met in high school and they were married August 27th of 1958. They moved to Colorado Springs after baby Rose was born. When all the children were in elementary school, they moved back out to Rush and began their life long journey together. Ila was known for the love she had for her family. She attended all of her children’s and grandchildren’s activities and events, whether they were big or small; they meant everything to her. Countless pictures fill photo albums chronicling the amazing life she lived and the memories and experiences she shared with her family. Ila particularly enjoyed having large family gatherings at her home. She never let anyone leave her house with an empty stomach and was known for her oatmeal and one of a kind banana cream pie. Regardless of who walked through her front door, she always made sure they felt at home and like they were part of the family. She will be missed most for her upbeat positive attitude no matter what was going on around her. Stan and Ila were happily married for 58 years. The love they shared was very special. It was something that was amazing to witness and be a part of. They were a prime example of what true love is. Ila not only had a huge impact on her family, but everyone that she had crossed paths with. She will be greatly missed on this earth but we know she is in Heaven, in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
