Obituary of Gwendolyn Maxine Beuck

Gwendolyn Maxine Beuck, 91 of Limon, Colorado formerly of Agate, Colorado passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Maxine was born on November 15, 1925 in Agate, Colorado to Thomas Jefferson and Ora Leona (Bennett) Noah one of three children. She was raised on Godfrey gulch in the Agate area, attending grade school and graduating from Agate High School. Maxine married Fred Otto Beuck in Denver, Colorado on November 5, 1944 and the couple enjoyed going to local dances and long road trips. Then they were blessed with two daughters. At 26, Maxine was diagnosed with MS, but was determined not to let that keep her down. Her favorite saying was “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” She was very active in her community and church. Maxine was a member of the Agate Baptist Church, Agate Home Club and later on the Matheson Community Bible Church in Matheson, Colorado. She enjoyed her flower garden as well as vegetable garden, and her family. Maxine was an avid writer and wrote many short stories. She loved using her writing to encourage others when they were facing difficult times. She also was an excellent cook, always taking special care to make great meals for the men working the ranch, and spoiling her grandchildren with their favorite treats. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, one brother John Noah, one sister Bertha (Noah) Reed and her beloved husband Fred Otto Beuck. She is survived by her two daughters; Linda Jean (Beuck) Aduddell (Tex) of Matheson and Gail Leona (Beuck) (Dick) Bergstad of North Dakota. Maxine is also survived by her eight grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
