Obituary of Richard M. Cirbo

Richard Melvin Cirbo age 74 of Matheson, Colorado passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at his home in Matheson. He was born one of eleven children on December 7, 1941 in Ramah, Colorado the son of Andrew John and Mary Elizabeth (Roseman) Cirbo. In 1956 they moved east of Matheson and lived there until 1960 when they moved into Matheson. On January 31, 1978, Richard was united in marriage to Judith M. Redabaugh in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They shared over thirty-eight years of marriage. Richard graduated from Simla High School in 1960. He worked for the Rock Island Rail Railroad for three years while he was attending school. He then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado where he worked for U.S. Plywood for over ten years. Richard moved back home to Matheson and ran C & C Grain and Hay Trucking along with ranching cattle with Alvin, Delmar and Ed until his health wouldn’t allow him to work any longer. Richard is survived by his wife Judy of the home; his son Jarrett Cirbo of Matheson, Colorado; a step daughter, Valerie Mullenax (Marc) of Peyton, Colorado; two step grandsons Morie Dean Mullenax of Hamilton, Montana and Greg Carl Mullenax of Colorado Springs, Colorado and a great step grandson Aldous; four brothers, Andrew John Cirbo (Colleen) of Denver, Colorado, James Leonard Cirbo (Judy) of Broomfield, Colorado, Delmar Eugene Cirbo of Limon, Colorado and Edward Eugene Cirbo of Simla, Colorado; one sister Angela Christine Wingard of Ramah, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Cirbo of Arvada, Colorado and two brother-in-laws’ Jerry (Annette) Redabaugh of Greeley, Colorado and Rick (Elizabeth) Redabaugh of Keenesburg, Colorado along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Tom Eugene, Alfred Joseph and Alvin John Cirbo; two sisters, Mildred Evelyn Kochis and Sherlene Marie Cirbo; and two brother-in-law’s Andrew Kochis and Paul Wingard.
