Obituary of Elva M. Gardner

Elva Marie (Johnson) Gardner, 85 of Limon, Colorado passed away peacefully at Carla’s Cluster Care Northeast Campus on October 3, 2016. Elva was born to Roy and Cecil Mae (Iler) Johnson on July 5, 1931 in Vona, Colorado. She was joined by three brothers and one sister. She loved being a mother to her three daughters; Melody, Sharon and Linda and always made home their refuge. Elva loved to work with her hands, as she could make anything from a ball of yarn. She collected earrings and had earrings to match any outfit she wore. She also enjoyed westerns and particularly loved John Wayne movies. Elva would make a yearly trip to Branson, Missouri and as soon as she would return home she would begin planning for the next trip. Elva was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Alberta Wilson and two brothers; Orthy Johnson, Milton Johnson and daughter Melody Parks. She is survived by her daughters; Sharon and husband Bob Torres of Denver, Colorado and Linda Harris of Lamar, Colorado, one brother, Robert and his wife Bonnie Johnson of Lakewood, Colorado along with eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
